OLYMPIC CALIBER BLEND FOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE

Find Your Perfect Fill

This box is 1 Cubic Foot. So it is the "CF" in "PCF"

1. What is most important to you?

Are you a hunter or precision shooter?  Would you rather have your bag be as light as possible?  Or do you want the best locking ability? Want lightweight less absorptive sand, or heavy sand? We have it all!

2. What is PCF? Pounds per Cubic Foot

If weight is most important for you then PCF is important.  PCF stands for Pounds per Cubic Foot.  A cubic foot is 12 inches by 12 inches by 12 inches (length, width, height).  So the PCF tells how much the cubic foot box on the left would weigh. For reference, sand is ~100 PCF. We have fills 100x lighter and 28% heavier, and everything in between!

3. What makes good lock?

This has more factors than just weight.  A good lock is a combination of size of particle, weight, compressibility, chemical composition, shape, absorption and durability.  A good lock in your bag is like a puzzle coming together.  And for shooting a good lock means the bag will provide a nice stable surface.

4. Durability

All of our products are the most durable fills on the market; often outlasting the bag and the shooter.  Each fill we sell provides improved water resistance so no more replacing the fill in your bag when it rains or a decrease in performance in rainy conditions, humid or dewy environments.

So which product is for me?

5125

5524BH

5524BH

This is our go to "lightweight bead".  It is the most rugged of our ultra lightweight beads because it is the smallest, densest and least compressible with a ball shape.  If you are a hunter or PRS shooter looking for a reliable fill that has great weight reduction, then the Spex•Lite® 5125 is your fill.

5524BH

5524BH

5524BH

This is our lightest shooting bag fill!  It only weighs around 1 pound per cubic foot, or 100x lighter than sand!  Don't be fooled by the weight - this bead is very durable. Hunters with large bags looking to hike distances for their ultimate experience will want to choose the 5524B as their fill. For quick succession long range shots, however, this may have a small bounce in the reticle.

5064

5524BH

5064

The "in-between" lightweight bead.  If the 5125 is too heavy for you and the 5524BH is too compressible, then the Spex•Lite® 5064 is for you!  This bead is about 20 times lighter than sand and is a great choice for shooters looking to switch to a lightweight fill. It was the Shooter's Choice Fill of 2023 in our annual survey!

5235

2511 RFA

5064

This is our lightweight pancake shaped pellet that is ~65% lighter than sand.  Its weight and shape make it great as a weight-reducing mixer pellet. It is rugged and doesn't absorb moisture.

5932

2511 RFA

2511 RFA

This is our cylinder shaped bead that is ~65% lighter than sand.  Its weight and shape make it great for the lock in your bag as a lightweight polymer sand alternative.  This is a favorite for PRS shooters looking for top quality but want less weight than traditional sand.

2511 RFA

2511 RFA

2511 RFA

This is our coolest fill!  100% recycled. Provides all the advantages of sand, but without the drawbacks! 20% lighter. Up to 90% less absorption! Made in America! No free silica that sand has. If you like sand but want it to weigh less and not have all those health hazards, then Spex•Lite® 2511 RFA is the shooting bag fill for you!

Heavy Sand

Create your own blend

Ginny Blend

The heaviest and best.  It is our heaviest fill.  It weighs ~28% more than regular sand.  It also absorbs up to 75% less water than sand. This is too heavy for most hunting bags, but for ultimate stability, the Spex•Lite® Heavy Sand is the fill for you!

Ginny Blend

Create your own blend

Ginny Blend

The Ginny Blend was created by Gold Medalist Ginny Thrasher.  It is 1 part 5125 and 2 parts 5235, making it our best bead fill yet!  The different shapes combine to help fill the voids often left by just using one shape and size bead creating the best lock you can get. Since it uses our beads it also cuts down the weight of your bag. It is almost ~75% lighter than sand with almost the same performance, with no absorption.

Ultimately the fill in your shooting bag comes down to personal preference.  Therefore we encourage you to mix and blend to make your own fill.
